I recently completed a home remodel and shop addition in the middle six figures. The project was done by a handshake and no contract necessary. I trusted Walker Construction and they proved they earned that confidence. Project came in better than expected and a home and shop addition I can be proud of. Ken Walker and his employees have what I call a "moral compass" and I always had good communication and implementation of my requests as a client. A general contractor one can trust to deliver a project on time, on budget, and meets the desires of the customer is a valuable asset to this community.

It is my pleasure to provide a letter of reference for Walker Construction.  Farmhouse Partners recently completed the construction of the Bridger Apartments, a $5.3 million, 44-unit apartment complex located at 2555 W. College, in Bozeman, Montana.  Walker Construction served as the project's general contractor, under a negotiated bid arrangement.

The first challenge presented to Walker was a very tight construction schedule.  The owner was faced with significant financial penalties by its financial partner if the job was not completed on time. By managing the course of construction carefully and arranging for subcontractors to work on weekends and even holidays, Walker was able to meet the owner's completion schedule.

The second challenge facing Walker was to bring the project in under a tight budget.  Working under a guaranteed maximum price contract, Walker completed the project with change orders totaling only 1% of the total construction budget (not including elective change orders made by the owner.)

Throughout the project, the quality of the craftsmanship was excellent.  Where problems arose, the issues were handled promptly and fairly.  Communications were handled well at all times, with good attention to detail.  

From top to bottom, I found Walker's staff to be courteous, professional and responsive.  It was a pleasure working with Walker Construction on this project.  I plan to work with them again in the future and would recommend them to others without hesitation.
